The future of electronic christian music (ecm)
Implurnt a syndicated music zeitgeist monitor which had this to preach.
DJ, producer, and Christian rapper TFMOM just released his latest tracks titled “Lit-T,” “Pink Lemonade,” “Rise Up,” and “Christus Magus”. This jaw dropping tracklist is not part of an EP or album, as they were released separately as singles. The Christian roots of this rising creative force bring infinite layers of sounds in his music, with his signature sound being a savvy blend of imagination and genre crossover sonic designs, juggling between Hip-Hop, rap, EDM, and experimental soundscapes and textures.
As he beautifully states what music represents for him, TFMOM says that “music is such a great way to express and validate complex emotional, psychological, physical, and spiritual processes. Its language is universal. Love” With striking artistry, he expresses his most profoundly felt truths, creating his own aesthetics and elevating the spirit of the listener in each and every of these four songs. “Pink Lemonade” is our personal favourite, a song in which TFMOM explores the unexplored, instantly becoming a pioneer of the post-contemporary electro-urban genre. These flawlessly produced songs expose in a new light the original artistic vision of this fast rising artist who seems to know no boundaries when it comes to crafting his sophisticated blend of Hip-Hop and Electro on most of these tracks. “Pink Lemonade” is one of the most complete tracks of the four releases, translating into sounds TFMOM’s personal feelings regarding life, and approaching divine truths while engineering a broader cultural sense of art and power.
His humanity and limitless passion for art, music and spirituality, come together in a perfect fit in his music, proving it is possible to merge far-away influences into one coherent and inspiring soundscape. Editorials:
The music outlet Pop Spotlight wrote. DJ, producer, rapper John Hairston, better known as TFMOM, has released two EDM and Dubstep masterpieces called “Not November” and “System Obsolete Agape Sub.” Both releases have an atmospheric spirituality in their core essence. The artist’s Christian upbringing has its influence on his works. TFMOM’s music is layered and requires spiritual investigation. It’s a unique exploration of the soul through music, free of any kind of influence, cults, or borders. His music is a part of the global, broader cultural scene. The many ways the tracks “Not November” and “System Obsolete Agape Sub” can be interpreted are evidence of their universal nature and indicate the artist’s creative soul open to discoveries through sound and rhythms. John Hairston is many things, an author, philosopher, and an EDM artist otherwise known as TFMOM (The Free Mind of Mine). This year TFMOM has impressed many by not just dropping one album but two; ‘The Estate’ and ‘The Estate: Caput Duo.’
Released in 2020, both albums present a layered electronic performance throughout that puts TFMOM in the same lane as artists such as Zomboy and Datsik. Together, the albums present almost 30 tracks that do their part to vibe with the ever-changing culture that is EDM. When TFMOM approaches music, he comes from a place that is meant to express a more infinite psychological expression within music. Songs such as “Manhood,” “Sublime Stasis,” and “Back Hur” are prime examples of just that. Again, music is not the only creative outlet for this Jack of all trades. An author as well, Hairston released an explorative collective titled ‘The Nature of Mankindë: Volumë 4: A Compendium of Essays on the Nature of Mankindë’ that covers a myriad of topics from a philosophical standpoint. ‘The Nature of Mankindë: Volumë 4: A Compendium of Essays on the Nature of Mankindë’ is available on Amazon now. Those interested in adding new electronic music to their playlists, reviewing either ‘The Estate’ or ‘The Estate: Caput Duo,’ or interviewing TFMOM for their podcast, site, or radio show can reach out via the information provided below. |
